The short answer
Pick Linktree if you mainly need a simple, familiar link page: the free plan covers links and sign-ups, and Pro ($15 a month, or $12 billed yearly) removes the logo and lets you sell with 0% Linktree fees, though you can never use your own domain. Pick Beacons if you want selling, email and a media kit in one place and don't mind paying 9% of sales on the free and $10 plans, or $30 a month for 0%. If you want a free page that takes nothing from your sales, Stick, made by our team, charges no fee at all.
Linktree and Beacons are the two names most creators compare first. Both give you a free link in bio page; they differ in how they charge you once you start selling, and in how much they try to do beyond links. Prices below were checked on the official pricing pages on October 9, 2026.

Pricing
Linktree has four plans. Billed yearly, the paid ones cost less per month:
- Free: unlimited links, email and phone sign-ups.
- Starter, $8 a month ($6 billed yearly): a personalized page, featured links and basic analytics.
- Pro, $15 a month ($12 billed yearly): removes Linktree branding, adds custom designs, selling with 0% fees and mailing list integrations. 7-day free trial.
- Premium, $35 a month ($30 billed yearly): adds link rules and routing, all-time analytics, data export, social media scheduling and Instagram auto-replies. 7-day free trial.
Beacons also has four plans:
- Free: link in bio, a media kit, unlimited digital products at a 9% seller fee, 50 email sends a month and a one-page website.
- Creator, $10 a month ($100 billed yearly): a free custom domain and 500 email sends a month, still at 9% of sales.
- Creator Plus, $30 a month ($300 billed yearly): 0% seller fees, unlimited courses with video hosting, memberships and unlimited email sends.
- Creator Max, $100 a month ($900 billed yearly): everything above plus onboarding help and priority support.
What each one takes when you sell
The difference shows up once money comes in. Here's what each plan costs in a month with $500 and with $2,000 of digital product sales, before Stripe or PayPal processing:
| Plan | Monthly fee | Cut of $500 in sales | Total at $500 | Total at $2,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beacons Free | $0 | $45 (9%) | $45 | $180 |
| Beacons Creator | $10 | $45 (9%) | $55 | $190 |
| Beacons Creator Plus | $30 | $0 | $30 | $30 |
| Linktree Pro | $15 | $0 | $15, plus $0.25 per payout | $15, plus $0.25 per payout |
| Stick | $0 | $0 | $0 | $0 |
On Beacons, the free plan is cheapest until about $333 in monthly sales; past that, Creator Plus at $30 a month costs less than giving away 9%. Linktree can't sell at all on its Free and Starter plans, so its real entry price for selling is Pro.
Design and features
Linktree keeps the page simple: a stack of links, a profile, themes and, on paid plans, more design control. The paid tiers add tools around the page rather than inside it: analytics, mailing list connections, scheduling of social posts and Instagram auto-replies on Premium. With 70 million users, it's the default most visitors recognize.
Beacons tries to be the whole creator toolkit: a link in bio page, websites, a store with courses and memberships, email marketing, a media kit for brand deals, Instagram DM automation and AI credits for generating text and images. It's more to learn, and more of it sits behind the paid tiers.
Which should you pick?
- Choose Linktree if your page is mostly links, you value a well-known brand and a simple editor, and you're happy on the free plan or willing to pay $15 a month to sell.
- Choose Beacons if you sell, run brand deals and want email built in, and either sell little enough that 9% is cheap or enough that $30 a month for 0% pays for itself.
- Choose neither if you want your own domain on Linktree (it doesn't exist) or you don't want a subscription or a percentage taken from every sale.
A third option: Stick
Stick is the link in bio builder our team launched in 2026. It's free: every block, theme and styling control is included, and you can sell digital products from the page with Stripe while Stick takes 0% of the sale. Views and clicks per link are free too.
To be upfront about the limits: today Stick doesn't support your own domain, the Stick badge can't be removed, each site has one page, and the editor is in English only. If those matter more to you than fees and design, Linktree Pro or Beacons Creator are the better fit.

Questions people ask
Is Linktree or Beacons better for selling digital products?
Beacons lets you sell on its free plan but takes 9% of each sale until you pay $30 a month for Creator Plus. Linktree sells only on Pro ($15 a month) and Premium, with 0% Linktree fees plus $0.25 per payout. Above about $170 in monthly sales, Linktree Pro costs less than Beacons Free.
Can I use my own domain with Linktree or Beacons?
Beacons supports a custom domain from its Creator plan ($10 a month). Linktree doesn't offer custom domains on any plan; your page stays at linktr.ee/yourname.
Is there a free alternative to Linktree and Beacons with no fee on sales?
Yes. Stick, made by the mssg.me team, is free and takes 0% of digital product sales; you pay only Stripe's processing fees. It doesn't support custom domains yet.
mssg.me and Stick are made by the same team. We point you to whichever one fits the job, and we say so when we do.
